From Software Engineer to Community Builder and Entrepreneur

When 2024 began, I was just a software engineer with a simple goal: help others grow. Today, that mission has grown into a thriving community and a business venture, and I’m humbled by what we’ve built together.

Empowering Growth Through Community

This year, I launched Student Freelancer 101 to help aspiring freelancers land their first clients in just 12 weeks. Along the way:

• I mentored 3,000+ students across 12 colleges in mastering full-stack development.

• I connected with amazing tech leaders, including GitHub’s CEO, at GitHub Constellation.

• I continued to learn and grow while pursuing my MS at Scaler.

But the real joy comes from seeing students transform. From growing a growth mindset to embracing work-life balance and unlocking the power of networking, their progress is a constant source of inspiration.

Building a Thriving Business

This year, I also took my entrepreneurial leap with Dovel Enterprise. Starting in August, I set a turnover goal of Rs 30 lakh for 2024—and I’ve already secured Rs 20 lakh in projects. My long-term vision? A Rs 2 crore turnover by 2026.

Financial Freedom and Diversification

Thanks to the lessons I learned from The 1% Club and Sharan Hegde, I’ve embraced smarter financial management:

• A diversified 40/20/40 investment portfolio (stocks, gold ETFs, mutual funds)

• A 4-month emergency fund for peace of mind

• Strategic planning that helped me achieve a 23% return on investments this year and save Rs 50,000 in taxes.

Balancing Work, Life, and Impact

I’ve also grown as a freelance software developer, earning around Rs 2,500/hour, while leading workshops and masterclasses to teach students skills for financial independence. Seeing them build confidence and careers fuels my passion for mentorship.

Looking Ahead to 2025

My goals for next year are clear:

• Expand Student Freelancer 101 to help more freelancers get started.

• Scale Dovel Enterprise while staying true to its mission of growth and innovation.

• Continue empowering students and professionals with the tools they need to achieve financial freedom.

• Launch and scale our digital patient care platform to bring treatments directly to patients.
