It started as just a room. Room 404. A place we sat in, slept in, passed through.

This week, 404 became something else entirely.

Alfee got placed

Alfee got placed at Dr. Reddy's. The news landed in the room first, before anywhere else. That's when you know a space matters: it's where people bring their biggest news. We didn't plan a celebration. It just happened.

Pao and Sandeep had their birthdays

Then Pao and Sandeep had their birthdays, and 404 threw a party the only way 404 knows how. Unplanned. Loud. cooking, cake and suddenly the room is full of people

We went to the turf to play football. No teams decided in advance, no score that mattered. Just running together, shouting at each other, and forgetting everything else for an hour. Joy doesn't always need a reason. Sometimes it just needs a ground and the right people.

And then Holi. Colours on faces, colours on clothes, colours on people you barely knew last month but now can't imagine the week without. If there's one day that proves a group has become a community, it's the day you let them throw colour at you and you laugh about it.

Somewhere between the placement news, the birthday chaos, the football, and the Holi colours, 404 stopped being a room number and became a name. A band. A thing with its own energy.

404 is getting ready for something. I can't tell you what yet because honestly, we don't fully know either. But the feeling is real. Something unpredictable is taking shape.

Most things that matter start without a plan. They start with people showing up in the same room, again and again, until the room becomes the reason they show up.

That's the origin of 404. Not a decision. Just presence turning into something.
